Humbled.
It’s very humbling to work with such an amazing staff and watch how they move and do ministry. Vince had some very nice things to say about me and my role in coming into Forefront (I think he went a little overboard). Just one more reason why I love this place. Everyone is so focused on the success of the church and not themselves.
Vince, thanks for following God’s vision to start Forefront and changes the lives of people in Hampton Roads and around the world. There are hundreds of lives that have been changed through Forefront and God chose you to get it happening. Our prayers are for you and the team as you head to the Vegas strip in January to do this amazing thing again.
**Readers: Please pray for Forefront during these next few months of transition and especially for the church plant that is starting in Las Vegas.
Cha, Cha, Changes!
Today was great.
Today we worshiped God in an amazing way.
Today my message seemed to hit a vein.
Today Vince talked about our process.
The process of hiring a guy.
The guy.
It’s been scary.
The past few months have been insane.
Blogging halted.
Twitter not-so-much.
But… today was God ordained.
Today I started as the lead pastor at Forefront Church.
God continue to lead my steps for today.
God bless the decisions that affect tomorrow.
Thanks you so much.
Your servant,
-Jason
My Sis Rocks!
My sister has such a cool job. She works for a newspaper and gets to write sweet articles and meet cool people. Well, below is the latest reason why I envy her (it’s the latest post from her blog).
Did I mention that I love my job?! Mikey came to see me this weekend and we got to meet Rainn Wilson at a benefit for the Tahirih Justice Center. Sa-weet! I was lucky enough to snag a one-on-one interview with Dwight and it’ll be featured in my upcoming feature story on the center and their annual benefit. All I have to say is he is the most down-to-earth dude ever.
When I asked him what he hoped his status would bring to the Justice Center, he jokingly replied in his all-business Dwight voice, “Cash, baby.” Ah, love it! Also, when asked if his “Office” mates ever join him at charity events, Wilson replied with, “Yea, many do, with the exception of Steve. He’s such a Scrooge.” Haha, “Off the record?” I asked. “No, that definitely needs to go in there, haha.” So funny.
Disclaimer: Mike has been cropped out, as Dwight and I needed our moment. Haha, no hard feelings love.
