We do some very different series here at Forefront, but I L-O-V-E where we take them. This series we’re in right now, “Crappy Love Songs” is one of them. The logo design was altered from the free vine resources and we did a really easy intro video for each week.
It’s a simple photoshop file of a TV and the logo inserted into a video editor. Then we placed the youtube video of each message/song behind it. The crowd loved it and it changes it up for the crowd to sing along to the crappy songs right before the message. This is an easy way to brand the message and get the effect your looking for without a lot of hurdles to jump through. Check it out:
So, at Forefront we’re starting a series called, “Crappy Love Songs” this week and during every series we promote 1 thing. Since this series deals with relationships, we’re promoting our small groups (Gel Groups as we like to call them).
Each week we’re having a different commercial to promote them in a funny way. Here is our Real Men of Genius Parody: “Mr. Always Late to Gel Group Guy.” Enjoy.
So here is an interesting deal… Clay NeSmith is a very friendly guy who pastors Barefoot Community Church in Myrtle Beach. He started a series and blog at ExposedPastor.com. It’s here that he lives his life for four weeks completely live to anyone and everyone. Last night I sat in on the live chat and it was interesting to hear the questions asked/answered. It was mildly awkward when the salvation bracelet was being given away for a trivia answer (yeah, I know you guys want one of these, ha), but I’m not real sure what to think. Is it absolutely brilliant or a train wreck?! Not sure. You be the judge… I placed his live feed below for your viewing pleasure.
So if you missed the Saddleback Civic Forum where Rick Warren hosted Barrack Obama and John McCain… you should check it out. Here is a link where you can view all the portions. Below is the first part with Barrack. What are your thoughts?
So if you are free tonight around 7:30 EST and want to partake in a pretty cool worship gathering… Check out the Live Feed via the Buckhead Blog for Night or Worship. Looks to be pretty cool and if you’re a church leader who doesn’t get to “experience a gathering very often, why not tune in!?
to our already kickin‘ rock services is if this little Chinese prodigy comes to play at Forefront. Holy Crap!?! It starts at 30 seconds in and rocks your socksoff!
Saw this on a few blogs and then checked out all the action on YouTube. This advertising campaign is absolutely genius. Advertising at it’s best. And they are pretty hilarious too. The church could take a few cues from being innovative in how we draw people to our churches/faith communities. [See More Here]
We are doing a 1 week message/series (yes, I know, it’s not a series if it’s only one week) simply titled, “G.P.S.” We’ll be talking about God’s use of our gifts and how we can serve in the local body. Check out the graphic & promo below. Images and stock video (edited to add text and music/driving sound) used from Highwayvideo.com
I am loving this new program I’ve been using thanks to seeing some of this action over at ragamuffinsoul.com. It’s called Gawker and I was testing it out with the Beach Campus set-up and sound check leading up to the start of service (7:26 am to 10:02 am in just 15 seconds). Check it out.
