Snow Day Update: How You Can Worship In Your PJs!

With Forefront Church services being canceled, we want everyone to still be able to participate in worship, communion, message, offering, serving, etc. from the comforts of your own home. Church in your PJs!! Let’s do it everybody! Here are some ways you can participate in all of these things today with your family:

Worship/Message:
There are a bunch of different places online to attend service. Here are a few you can choose from (or google search and find one you’d like to attend).
LifeChurch.tv w/ Craig Groeschel: http://live.lifechurch.tv/
Newspring Church w/ Perry Noble: http://www.newspring.cc/webcampus/

Communion:
Find some juice and crackers (or in my families case a few years ago, cheese its and apple juice) and take a moment to reflect on the story of Jesus: His coming, life, death, and resurrection. It’s the reason we live, breathe and move. The cracker representing His body that was broken for us and the juice is for the blood that was shed to cover our sins. Take it together as a family and make is special. It will be a very intimate way to end 2010 with your family.

Offering/Giving:
Each week (even when it snows us in), the people of Forefront Church give an offering. This offering every week helps people who are in need, reaches out to our community, and brings hope to those far from God. If you are a member of Forefront Church, here is where you can give your weekly offering: http://giving.forefront.org Even then the weather might stop us the work of God’s church never ends.

Serving:
Today is filled with opportunities to serve others today. Clear a neighbors driveway, bring your neighbors some baked treats while they’re held up from the snow… Be creative! While you’re doing that, tell us your stories here on the post or on our Facebook Page. Also, share photos and stories on the Facebook Page on how you and your family worshiped and spent this snow day together!

Love you all and cannot wait to worship together with you next Sunday as we start our brand new series, “The Power of One.”

Advent Reading: Dec 24th

Advent is a unique season. It’s a perfect time to study the theme of waiting on God and seeing how He fulfills His promises. Each day leading up to Christmas, I’ll be posting some passages from the Bible to help us focus on God and why we celebrate during this time of year. My prayer is that it will help us to love Him more, spend less on material things, give me to those in need, and love God and people in a refreshed way.

You can use your Bible you have at home, read online, or use a mobile app on your phone. I’m excited to be reading along with you during this special time of year!

Today’s Passages:

  • In the a.m. – Isaiah 35:1-10, and then in the p.m. – Isaiah 59:15b-21
  • In the a.m. – Revelation 22:12-17, and then in the p.m.- Philippians 2:5-11
