Every single day I take notes. What my kids do, ways I drop the ball, funny things I see happen at Starbucks. You name it, I write it down. Why? Because life is full of stories. It’s the way we are moved. Stories take us places. The greatest story I’ve ever been told has wrecked my life beyond all recognition (in a good way). These posts are me, looking through the lens of love and grace, and trying to begin to understand what it means to love and serve God & others. I’ve been branded with love. God’s love. Now, let’s try to spread a little love around. Hope these posts encourage & stretch you. Enjoy.

Zombies, Faith, and Moving Like Your Life Depends On It

Zombies, Faith, and Moving Like Your Life Depends On It

I love movies. The theater experience is the best. Popcorn smell. Comfy seats. Candy & big drink. And that screen… Glorious. Recently, I went to see World War Z w/ my buddy Kevin. It was an awesome movie. I jumped a bunch of times. Held…

Go Out To Your Car And Take A Time Out

It’s Monday. You’ve been through the weekend. Life is back to the grind. Work. Traffic. Kids. Projects. Deadlines. Bills to pay. It’s easy to get caught up in it. Slow down. Take 10 minutes. 10 minutes. Close your laptop. Turn off your phone. Put the…

A Forefront Summer, Gel Groups, and Being Face To Face

As a pastor here at Forefront Church, one of my deepest passions is not only seeing people come to know Jesus, but to watch their lives richly transformed by living out their faith. We see Sunday mornings as the first step to moving towards God….

Can We Do Like We Did? Like Before?

Can We Do Like We Did? Like Before?

5 for 5 “We struggle… but God supplies our needs”

It’s day two of the 6:5 Project. But, yesterday I received an email about day one. It brought me to tears. In a good way. It wrecked me. Take a listen to this family’s story: “Hey there!  My family and I picked up 3 containers…

Cha, Cha, Cha, Changes: An Offline Journey

Cha, Cha, Cha, Changes: An Offline Journey

I love hearing about people’s lives. The good. The bad. The ugly. Stories of redemption. Kids. Vacations. Lives in motion. It’s why I love social networking. It’s goal is to connect our lives on another level. To keep us intertwined even if we are living…

Ten Great Reasons You Should Be In A Gel Group

Ten Great Reasons You Should Be In A Gel Group

Unfortunately, we don’t have any groups that dress up like this each week (but maybe that’s your mission from God to make happen here at Forefront!) Actually, that would be extremely creepy, forget that idea. Immediately. Alright, let’s move on… There are a ton of…
