Every single day I take notes. What my kids do, ways I drop the ball, funny things I see happen at Starbucks. You name it, I write it down. Why? Because life is full of stories. It’s the way we are moved. Stories take us places. The greatest story I’ve ever been told has wrecked my life beyond all recognition (in a good way). These posts are me, looking through the lens of love and grace, and trying to begin to understand what it means to love and serve God & others. I’ve been branded with love. God’s love. Now, let’s try to spread a little love around. Hope these posts encourage & stretch you. Enjoy.

God Moved Your Wallet

God Moved Your Wallet

“ARGHHH,” I exclaimed as I scoured the house in a panic, almost out of breath. “What’s wrong daddy?” My oldest was distraught. She could see the frustration in my face as I flung open cabinets, turned over piles of papers. “Are you missing something? Can…

It was several years ago that I first met Richie. He didn’t even know me and hugged me. It was weird and I wasn’t sure about him or the embrace. Didn’t take long to realize he was the real deal. I don’t have eloquent…

It Wasn’t Me

If you have kids you’ve totally heard this before. “Who broke this table?” “It wasn’t me!” “It wasn’t me! I didn’t do it.” Recently I came downstairs as the girls were wrapping up breakfast, and cereal was ALL OVER THE FLOOR. It was like Cap’n…
