Every single day I take notes. What my kids do, ways I drop the ball, funny things I see happen at Starbucks. You name it, I write it down. Why? Because life is full of stories. It’s the way we are moved. Stories take us places. The greatest story I’ve ever been told has wrecked my life beyond all recognition (in a good way). These posts are me, looking through the lens of love and grace, and trying to begin to understand what it means to love and serve God & others. I’ve been branded with love. God’s love. Now, let’s try to spread a little love around. Hope these posts encourage & stretch you. Enjoy.

I’ve Lost All My Children

I’ve Lost All My Children

“Kinley?! Kinley Jane where are you!?” “Baby! Kinley come here where are you?!” 8 seconds. It happened so fast. Turned to look at something on the shelf. As a parent there is no greater fear. That moment your child vanishes from your care like an unexpected…

Times Are Changing (And It’s Hopeful)

Times Are Changing (And It’s Hopeful)

Loved reading this recent article on Relevant Magazine’s site about the shift in late night entertainment. The cynical nature of the old regime is being left behind for a lovable, gentle and more heart-felt approach. It’s honest. It’s real. It’s what we’ve been wanting for…

They Watched You Get A Punch To The Face

Laundry, Sing-a-longs, & Pretty Princess Kingdoms

I live in land where estrogen abounds. With a wife, two girls (soon to be 3), I’m outnumbered. In this beautiful place I reside, I’ve learned a valuable lesson: Use. The. Filter. “You want to play pretty princess kingdom with us?” “Um, no freaking way….
