Each day I wake up, I have a check list. One of the things on that checklist is “CHFP.” It’s to remind me each morning to be a Christian first, Husband second, Father third, and Pastor last. I need it. I need it desperately because I know that love for God is what filters through the rest of my life. It’s the love that permeates through being a husband, father, pastor, friend, leader, and every facet of daily living.
When I hear stories like this of Jeffery Wright, it reminds me that love is still what drives us. A love greater and deeper than anything of this world.
